Shirtdresses are incredibly easy to pull off and are a great addition to your closet this spring! They're simple, lightweight, and can be easily dressed up or down with a few accessories.

Footwear is receiving a major revamp and refresh for the blooming season and you might just want to get your hands on some (or all!) of these trends. Check out the hottest spring shoe trends below. I apologize in advance if I create some serious shoe envy within you. I know I am in love with all the shoe trends and shoes below.

Hologram Pumps, Zara Basic Sandal, Beige clear sandals

Hologram: Get out of this world with this crazy must-have trend for spring. Though this trend may seem somewhat risky to pull off, don't doubt yourself. Keep your outfit fairly simple, and put on a cute pair of the other-worldly hologram heels, like the Hologram Pump shown above. Have your shoes be the star of the show.

Black and White Contrast: Though it may not seem fitting for spring, trust me when I say black and white contrast is a super chic trend this season. If anything, investing in a pair of footwear with this effortlessly classy color combo is a great idea for this season. The Zara Basic Sandal, featured above, is the perfect pair.

In the Clear: Make a statement with see-through details on your footwear. This trend is hot, hot, hot and definitely worth taking part in. Try clear heels like the Beige clear sandals above, or heels and flats with see-through cut-outs and accents.

Ankle Straps: This popular spring trend adds a feminine look to your outfit whether you're going out on a date or just enjoying the date. The perfectly placed strap simply adds a little elegance when added to pumps. This is another trend you definitely want to invest in as its elegance is here to stay. The Calvin Klein Ankle-Strap heels in rose gold is a perfect, simple pair. Or try a pair of black pumps with an ankle strap that features gold accents to up the chic-ness of a simple black heel. Ankle-straps added to flats also make a more feminine and sophisticated look, as seen on the blue Velvet Weave Sandals above.

Chunky Heels: Don't let the less-than-attractive title of this trend fool you, chunky heels are cute, practical, and on trend for spring. Thick heels are great and give you the stability to walk around comfortably in. While many of us opt for tall heels, play around with heights and try short and tall thick heels. I'm Wired by Sephora by O.P.I. is a beautiful coral color that I'm currently obsessed with.

As you can tell in the above picture, it's a gorgeous electric coral that really shines. It's a great color to brighten up your nails as well as perfect to begin the beautiful season of Spring with.

Like I've said in a similar post, I love Sephora by O.P.I. products. I have yet to find a nail color that chips within a week or two and the colors offered are so vibrant.

But if you want to create the appearance of curves, try wearing clothes with horizontal stripes as this widens to look of your waist line.  Teamed with a fitted waist belt and a flowing knee length skirt, you can make yourself look like you've got a more curvaceous figure.

Instead of presenting his runway collection - usually shown during the coveted time slot of 9 am on the first Friday of New York Fashion Week - Peter Som presented his Fall/Winter 2013 collection online at 9 am this morning at digitalfashionshows.com.

According to Som in a "Designer Inspiration" video, also found on digitalfashionshows.com, he wanted to show his Fall/Winter 2013 collection in a new way. Being able to present it online was an exciting way to do just that.

"It's also a way for me to really break down the four walls that a show is normally in and show it in a way that's cinematic and that's got so much more sensibility of a movie, really," Som said in the video.

Som sacrificed people attending his runway show Friday morning and all the excitement and energy that comes with presenting a collection during NYFW. However, Som told T Magazine, the New York Times' Style Magazine, that the benefits of having a fashion show online outweighs these sacrifices.

"It's a cross between a photo shoot, a music video and a fashion show, so I think that's more exciting for the viewer," he tells T Magazine. 

When you watch the collection online, it really is almost like a music video; it's lively and fun to watch.

As you're watching models walk down the runway in Som's designs, you'll see under the video a description of what that model is wearing.

The Collection:

Som's collection portrayed a strong woman with deep wine-red lipstick who could be classy in black and white contrast, but also fun and bold in strong graphic prints, leopard prints, sequin detail and mixing a bright blue with orange.

Fur in Som's collection was shown in different colors - a navy fur jacket being my absolute favorite - textures and an eclectic pattern. He also displayed fur on clutches in a vibrant hue of blue and an orange sorbet.

Though Som presented a strong woman, he showed off her femininity with bright acid-floral print dresses with a sheer organza ruffled skirt.

"This season, the Peter Som woman is a strong woman - she has a strength to her and kind of a real, bold sensibility and I really brought that through in the prints and patterns," Som said in the "Designer Inspiration" video.
