Like any girl during the summer, I enjoy showing off my toes in sandals and flip flops. But sometimes your feet need a break from the exposure and that's when espadrilles come in handy.
I picked up a pair of Soludos a few weeks ago and I absolutely love them. They're simple, comfortable, and come in a great range of colors and patterns.
Founded just 2 years ago during a New York summer, the idea of Soludos came alive when Nick Brown couldn't find the espadrilles he had grown up wearing in Spain. Keeping his Spanish heritage in mind while designing the shoe, "Saludos," Spanish for "Cheers" and "Sol," meaning "Sun," were combined to create "Soludos."
The summer-chic shoes are wonderfully versatile as they can be worn to the beach or to a casual lunch with friends. Whenever you would normally choose to pair flip flops with your outfit, opt for the Soludos instead to pull your outfit together more than a pair of flip flops can.
My personal favorite right now are these mint green Ikat Soludos.
