Who You Should be Following on Pinterest

After two years of invite-only registration, Pinterest has now opened up, allowing everyone to slowly begin their addiction.  From delicious recipes that look amazing, do-it-yourself crafts that make you want to bring out your inner Martha Stewart, and fashion looks that you just love, this virtual pinboard let’s you create many boards for everything and anything that you want to save for later.

Currently, my boards consist of a wedding planner, fashion looks, nail art ideas, crafts, recipes to try and so many more.

But to pin well, whether you’re new to Pinterest or already obsessed, you need to be following great pinners. So to fuel your great Pinterest boards, here are the top 10 pinners you really should be following:

  1. Jane WangA penguin may be the profile picture of this Pinterest (all the more reason to follow it), but that doesn’t mean you’ll only find animals. In addition to the fuzzy and not-so-fuzzy creatures, you’ll find every kind of board you can think of. I mean it: a DIY wedding board, a board for hats, cupcakes, babies, moms, paper art, easy hacks (for all those things we wish we could’ve thought of), and a happy board. You won’t find more anywhere than you find here. And cool fact – her son is the co-founder of Pinterest.                                                                                                                                                                                                        (more…)

Lady Gaga’s Cover on Vogue’s September Issue

It’s out!

Lady Gaga is Vogue’s cover girl for their record-breaking September issue at 916 pages.

Gaga made all her fans on twitter go “gaga” as she left them waiting for the ball to drop when Gaga leaked this cover of Vogue on her fan site. “SHH DONT TELL TWITTER/SEPT ISSUE OF VOGUE MAGAZINE/Sorry Anna but the underground kids deserve it. bisous!” She spilled next to the photo.

Her second time on the cover of Vogue, Gaga looks amazing in this Marc Jacobs mermaid gown but the platinum afro is questionable. However, it is Lady Gaga and we wouldn’t know her without her one-of-a-kind outfits – hair included.

Want more? Check out Vogue.

What do you think of Vogue’s choice of a September cover girl and her look?

Crafty Chic: Paint Sample Calendar

During the summer, there’s nothing I enjoy more than laying outside, taking in the summer rays. But this summer, thanks to my most-visited website: Pinterest, I’ve been inspired to be a little crafty and make something useful. Because what’s more chic than creating something both beautiful and useful that costs less than the actual thing? (Okay, maybe a lot of things, but let’s just run with this and call it “crafty chic”).

Here is something that is customizable, reusable, and can cost under $5: a paint sample calendar.

Target & Neiman Marcus: A New Pair

Just when you thought Target’s collabs really couldn’t get any better…

Announced today, Target and Neiman Marcus are teaming up to launch a limited-edition holiday collection of gifts featuring 24 designers, all of whom are part of the CFDA.

The two chic brands partnered with the designers and will be creating a collection of more than 50 gifting products including home decor, apparel, pet products, and sporting goods.

“By combining our two brands and tapping into some of the most talented designers across the United States, we’ve created a remarkable collection of must-have products that we’re confident will land on wish lists this holiday season,” Kathee Tesija, Target’s executive vice president of Merchandising, said.

With designers consisting of Alice + Olivia, Altuzarra, Band of Brothers, Carolina Herrera, Derek Lam, Diane von Furstenberg, Jason Wu, Lela Rose, Marchesa, Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta, Prabal Gurung, Rag & Bone, Tory Burch and more, I’m sure the products created will definitely be on everyone’s holiday wishlist. I mean, they’re already on mine just with the above design roster.

Keep your eyes open until October 16, when the unveiling will take place. And then prepare yourself for December 1, when the special products will hit all Target and Neiman Marcus stores, as well as online.
